we did nothing but it seemed like we did so much
right now i am reminded of just a few months ago when it was winter. it does get surprisingly cold in the desert -the ground soaks up the heat from the sun but as soon as the sun descends the heat vanishes and it cools down rapidly- but nothing unbearable. i love winter/fall. being able to wear sweatshirts and being wrapped up in my favorite Fray zip up that is horribly faded and even ripped in places is a wonderful feeling. summer is a popular season but i love the cold. i find myself outside more when its winter time than summer time. i hate heat. and sweating. and getting red because of the sun. tonight is the first night in a long time that resembles a time in february. its cloudy and the sky looks moody. it appears to be darker than normal and it is abnormally cool because of the "onshore flow" according to the weather woman on the channel 5 news this afternoon. anywho it reminds me of february and walking around in my Fray zip up and listening to their new album over and over and standing outside feeling the chill and watching the sunset and staring at the sky thinking. it gets dark earlier in the winter so i don't have to stay awake until midnight just to stare at the stars. i want to move somewhere that gets cold, where it snows and a place i can experience things that seem so far away while i'm here. i want to experience culture. i understand going to an out of state school is more expensive but its worth it to me. because if i don't get out now, who knows when or even if i will. i'm going to go make an egg sandwich on toasted bread for dinner now.
